I have regularly installed PHP5 without difficulty, along with mysql and apache2.

In performing an upgrade, i notice that it cannot llocate a bunch of modules (ie HOST-RESOURCES-TYPE).

Presumable some directory locations have been changed. I have tries using both php.ini-dist and php.ini-recommended but both react the same way when copied into /etc/php.ini.

The only changes I routinely make in the .ini file are to turn the short_open_tag to off for portability, change the include path to ".:/usr/lib/php5/" and the extension_dir equate to: /usr/lib/php5/extensions.
