fuzzylizard
I have someone sending me wordperfect documents and I can't open them. Does anyone now of a program that will open these, or where I can get a copy of wordperfect that will install on mandrake 9.0? Thanks. fuzzylizard
I've tried with no luck. Although I may be missing a plugin or something.
Guest BlackSnow
Dunno if this would be any good to you, a conversion to any type of file from wordperfect 5.0. http://freshmeat.net/projects/wp2x/?topic_id=
Glitz
Your best bet is to find an old copy of wordperfect for linux and use that. If that doesn't work and you don't have to convert all the time then maybe just find someone that has wordperfect for windows and use that to convert the document to rtf, or dos text, or (heaven forbid) word format. Then you can load that into Openoffice or whatever. Glitz.
polemicz
There are no Wordperfect filters in OO or StarOffice; the only way is to use Wordperfect for any platform and save as .doc and the open the .doc file. You can also save as rtf, but I've never been happy with how it handles some formatting.
Guest Mandrake_Mouse
I have WordPerfect Office 2000 running on MDK 9.0. Had to get a special install script from the Corel site http://linux.corel.com because of the font server. It shouldn't be too tough to find a copy of WP8 for Linux, or WP2K Office. I think I found mine on Ebay a couple of months ago. Gave $40 for it.

Kieth
I can open up my WordPerfect files with KWord. They look fairly good, too. Kieth
