Guest dlgraves
Hi, I'm trying to install 10.1 Official on a Thinkpad 570 with no CD drive. After lots of driver trouble I finally got the network install going from one of the raw http trees listed on the Mandrake download page. Problem is, after pulling down the .bz file to start the install, the system reboots. Then my old Lilo/Debian setup takes over and it boots into Debian. The reboot seems like it's supposed to happen, but how could a network install proceed after a reboot? Is it supposed to store the server info somewhere and pick up where it left off? Is this maybe some kind of boot loader problem? I'm totally lost, any help on network installs greatly appreciated. (Can't think of how else I can possible get Mandrake on this thing with no CD drive...) thanks a lot, Lucas
GodFlesh
hi, the system is not supposed to reboot before having copied all the files from the network to the hard-disk. Did you try to boot with noapic nolapic acpi=no ?
