Guest dbueno
I am using Mandrake 10.1 Official. When I download RPM packages I used to be prompted to install them with the Software Installer. For some strange reason I no longer get that option, but am only given the option to open the file with Kaffeine !?!? I think I must have messed up the file associations somehow, but when I open the RPM file normally it start the Software Installer just fine, so I guess it may just be a browser specific file association I messed up??? I am a Linux newbie, please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Dyslexic
What are you using to open RPM files? Konqueror? Nautilus? Something else?
Steve Scrimpshire
It's a problem that crops up once you install RealPlayer. Apparently, the browsers can't differentiate between *.rpm and *.rm. Not sure what browser you're having trouble with.
