Murda
Hi. I'm a complete noob with Linux and so i'm asking for help on how to add programs to startup when i log in (not as root). I'd like to run ventrilo_srv from /home/murda/software/ventrilo but i don't know how to do that. And I'm using KDE 3.2 on MDK 10.1. And i'm logging in as me (murda), not root. But if root is needed, i can do that too. I couldn't find any topic matching this, so i decided to create one. Thanks. -Murda Edited January 10, 2005 by Murda
Guest anon
Welcome to the board. You can do this by adding them to your Autostart directory in the .kde directory ( /home/you/.kde ) Right click on desktop>>>>new file>>>>>link to application. Fill in the required fields. Then put the file in the autostart directory.
