Hi folks,

I installed Mandrake 10.1 Official on a USB external hard disk (Maxtor One touch 200GB) :

Partition 1 (primary): 185 GB, bootable, ext3

Partition 2 (primary) : 500MB, swap

Partition 3 (primary) : 8GB, ext3

Lilo is installed lilo on MBR (/dev/sda). My computer just has a USB CD drive and this USB HD, no floppy nor ide drives.

When I boot, I just get a 'L' (without any error code).

I tried without success:

- To reinstall on sda3 (same message)

- To install lilo on /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda3 (same message)

- To set disk=/dev/sda and bios=0x80 in lilo.conf (same message)

- To add linear : lilo refuse this option due to limitations

- To use grub (I just get the grub command shell at startup)

Any idea ?
