JeroenM
Hi, I've got a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo K with a Viewsonic G90f+ attached to it. The best and max resolution for the laptop is 1027*768. When I attach the monitor to the laptop it gets the same image. However it is a 19" monitor so I want it to be larger. But I can't set a higher size anywere. I assume this is because it might be dangerous to the laptop LCD. How can I set the resolution for the external higher? (without killing my LCD) thanks Jeroen
coverup
This is certainly possible, but the soultion will likely depend on what exactly you want to achieve. How do you want to use the LCD and the monitor? Do you want both the LCD and the monitor showing the same screen, or do you want only one of them to display a screen at a time? Or do you want them to display two different screens side by side? How old is the laptop, which card do you have, what modes does the videocard support (clone/dual screen), what driver do you use for your card? Did you try switching between LCD only and monitor only modes using the hardware switch?
