Aomighty
Hi. I've been a fan of Open Source programs for a long time and have recently decided to switch to a dual-boot Mandrake/Windows system, especially since I'm building my own computer ATM. So, just a quick question: How stable is Mandrake 10.1 Beta, and do you recommend I use Mandrake 10.1 or 10.0 Official? I cannot get 10.1 Official, because I do not have enough money to join the Mandrake Club. Thanksees .
Guest Adriano
Why can't you download 10.1 official? It's freely available now from the mirrors... Not to mention, it's probably going to be available from your favorite linux mag this month or next, apart from sites like fastdiscs.com or cheapbytes.com... a13x
10.1 is a stable version IMHO. You can transform your install into 10.1 OE by using one of the Mandrake mirrors. Go to easyurpmi.zarb.org, set up your mirrors and then run: urpmi --auto --auto-select in a console. Anyway I recommend you get the 10.1 OE download version.
