Intel 855 graphics - 3d graphics don't work

glxinfo just hangs. glxgears doesnt work (no gears appear)

card: intel 855GM , fresh Mandrake 10.1 official (download edition) , HP Nx9030 laptop.

 

Any tips, hints on how to get 3d rendering working?

Also, check what graphics driver you are using, try modprobing i915
