Guest mudshark Posted January 6, 2003 Report Share Posted January 6, 2003 flightgear-0.9.1-1mdk.i586.rpm (Cooker) fails to install because of missing libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.3.2). The latest glibc is 2.3.1 and it doesn't provide this version of libpthread nor can I find it in RPMfind or anywhere else. Any ideas, anyone? Counterspy Posted January 7, 2003 Report Share Posted January 7, 2003 It would appear you are going to be waiting until 9.1 is released and whether Glibc is upgraded to 2.3.2 and flightgear is included in the final. BertoldK Posted April 23, 2003 Report Share Posted April 23, 2003 To install Flightgear under Mdk 9.1, you need libmetakit-2.4.6-3mdk and flightgear, both packages available as .rpm from ftp://ftp.mandrakeusers.com/pub/Contrib. First install the libmetakit, then flightgear; otherwise you get an error message when installing flightgear. When starting Flightgear, I see a cockpit panel and outside a runway and I hear an intermittend sound of a motor - no idea yet how to proceed...
