Guest itaca
I have just installed Mandrake 10.1 in a Dell CPx laptop. The graphic card is rage mobility m1 agp 2x. Console mode works fine But there is no graphic environment even if I selected KDE. When I type kde it says, among other things: ... using config file: "/etc/x11/xorg.conf" Data incomplete in file "/etc/x11/xorg.conf" At least one Device section is required. (EE) Problem parsing the config file, ... Fatl server error: No screens found ... I think I forgot to configure the graphic section at the end of the Mandrake installation. Can I come back to that "last" part of the installation so I avoid going through the whole installation process -more than 2 h-? Alternatively, is there an easy way -I am a complete newbie- to reconfigure it from the console mode? Thank you very much! Ignacio
chris z
at the terminal prompt, su to root & type........ XFdrake (that is CaPs sensiTIVE) that will let you configure your graphics card & test it. Chris Edited November 25, 2004 by chris z
