WG511 + Acer Aspire

Hi there,

I have been following the threads and advice for a week or so now and I still can't get my WG511 card to work under Mandrake 10.1. I have a Acer Aspire laptop. I believe my kernel version is 2.6.8.1-10.mdk. My wired network connection is on eth0

Heres what I have done to date....

Installed kernel source 2.6-2.6.8.1-10.mdk

Installed the latest driver from prism54 and managed to install it correctly (I believe)

Checked that I had the firmware in the right location it was there all ready but downloaded another version and kept the .arm extension....

I have added the commands yenta_socket and cardmgr to modules.preload but when I do this and reboot the machine it hangs at various points during loading...it never appears to be in the same point. The ironic thing is that the card blinks its green LED at me but the machine just appears to have hung and I can't do anything apart from pull the power.....

Any tips or suggestions would be extremely welcome :)
