Guest joehill
I want to load my dockapps so that they load in a specific order. ...so I loaded each dockapp in the order I wanted them from the command line, then edited my .xinitrc to load them at logon. some simply do not want to load in the order I start them. Even when I am starting them individually from a command prompt, they do not place themselves in the order in which they were ran! anyone got a "fix" for this? cheers! beesea
assuming you're using windowmaker, all you have to do is start your dockapps and arrange them in the order you want. then right click on each dockapp and go to settings. there should be an option there to have the app start when window maker starts. <edit> if you're using fluxbox, you edit ~/.fluxbox/slitlist
Guest joehill
stupid me, I was doing that, editing slitlist, all the while ignoring the fact I was running Fluxbox at the same time. Once I edited slitlist outside of X, all was well. Thanks for the reply!
