Guest cipx2 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Share Posted November 7, 2004 Hi All, Installed Mdk 10.0 on Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop. I managed to make everything to work except suspend to disk, but this is another matter. What i can't figure out is why i can't hear the CARDMGR beep when i plug/unplug the pcmcia cards. I have a bunch of wireless cards, i made them all work, but i hear no beeps; everytime i change them i need to check the leds on the cards (for which i learned the led on/off sequence if all ok) or check the logs. I have X installed, sound working great. What happens on Ctrl+G: - in system console: nothing - in Konsole (KDE console): beep - in Xterm: visual bell (flashing background) - in RXvt: nothing I gave up searching for clues. Please help.
