I have 3 computers: homebuilt PC mdk 10 imac ibook all have nics, none have wireless, all have usb(probably 1.1). I am connected to direcway now with a 4 port asante router that works fine. I would like to connect the 2 macs wireless. I know nothing about wireless so I would like linksys part #(names) if possible. Linksys makes a part that will pickup a wireless signal and it connects to a computer via the onboard nic, the info states no software is needed. This would work fine. However, like I said I know nothing about wireless, and I don't want to purchase items that I don't need or won't work together. So, I think what I need is a wireless router and the component to pick up the signal that will connect into a nic.....
