co
I'm using 10.1 Official with an nvidia graphics card. If I update to the latest xorg-x11 via update, will this break the nvidia drivers? Or do I only need updated nvidia drivers when I update the kernel? Cheers, co bored & confused at work....... aRTee
Actually, I recently installed the xorg 6.8 that was on my dvd image of 10.1 OE, and no reinstall/recompile of nvidia drivers was necessary. If you can wait a day or so, I will have my configuration page updated to include how to do the update and get nifty xorg stuff going like translucency and window shadows, like here:
co
Thanks for the reply. The config page would be cool. Also on a side note, what are the entries needed for tv-out to work in the XF86Config file. I've always used yanc to configure my card for tv-out (twinview) but since installing mdk 10.1 it cannot open the config file. I think it's because previously yanc used XF86Config-4 but now with xorg it's changed to XF86Config. Any help would be appreciated.
