liquidzoo Posted October 11, 2004 Report Share Posted October 11, 2004 Boot the install disk When you get to the point where it says "Press <enter> to install, Press <F1> for more options" press F1 and type the following: linux expert and hit enter. That should load the correct module for that sata drive. Out of curiosity, and in case this doesn't work: What chipset does you mobo have for the sata controller? Is it a Via chip? Is it a Via chip? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, this did not solve my problem.. My mobo is based on the nvidia 250gb chipset with a silicon image cotroller also, which Mandrake are you using? If you're using 10.0 Official, try 10.1 Community.
