liquidzoo
The only fix for the uname -a issue is to recompile your kernel and tell it what kind of processor you have. There's another option for cpu speed reporting, but I forget what it's called. For the uptime...I'm not sure. Mine reports correctly [Coruscant//liquidzoo]$ uname -a Linux Coruscant 2.6.8.1-8mdk #1 Fri Sep 3 17:23:25 CEST 2004 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ unknown GNU/Linux [Coruscant//liquidzoo]$ uptime 23:02:41 up 2 days, 8:39, 6 users, load average: 0.01, 0.01, 0.00 [Coruscant//liquidzoo]$
