Ati 9200SE (fgrlx) not boot after fresh install

Just did a fresh install of 10.1 CE, got to the config section, found ATI fgrlx entry for X, selected, tested (ok), then finished install and re-booted.

On re-boot, system hangs after selecting either the linux or failsafe options, with spewage like:

calibrating loop parameters, or something similar and never goes any farther.

The ati card is PCI.

I tried to rescue, but there seems to no way to go back to the intstallation config section.

Any ideas?

Robert
