Create A Shortcut To Save MySession

If it's not already showing in your panel, right click panel>add>applet>lock/logout applet

When it appears, right click>preferences> X the "save session for future logins" and OK.

 

This does set it globally though so it does the same if you Menu>logout.

 

I don't know if you can have one button that does save and another that doesn't. Is that what you are actually trying to get?

There is. If you choose 'restore saved sessions' in kcontrol, you can save the session in kmenu (the startmenu). Still, I couldn't find the command that's executed. :(
