teh_sAbEr
does anyone know of any open source flash development WYSIWYG editors (aside from F4L, according to the website, its not functional)? like the stuff macromedia offers but, for linux, and for free :D . SoulSe
Flash runs well with crossover office and with wine (tweaking required). Macromedia are currently working on making Flash run better with Wine and will then consider a full-on Linux port, based on the response they receive. So free? No. But definately possible. devries
And have a look at SVG. Flash is a format owned by Macromedia while SVg is an open standard. A SVG editor: http://www.inkscape.org/ It's free and free :)
iphitus
I should add, SVG does not animate, and is simply a open, standardised, vector graphics medium.

Flash is also more than just animation, it's also about interactivity and it's main strength is actionscript. The best way to produce it will always be with Macromedia Flash, so luckily they're on our side and dedicated to investigating linux ports. ;)
