Tymestream
I installed and was running Xmms 1.2.10 and everything was working awsome. I got a segmentation fault and reported the bug but it is still unresolved. My question is how do I remove the entire package so that there is no trace of it - then hopeefully reinstall it to work again? Is this resonable? Xmms was installed from source and not an RPM. So the rpm uninstall won't work and even then I often find config files left over when I do RPM uninstalls for other apps. Thanks,
devries
In the folder you build and installed xmms in/from type (as root) 'make uninstall'. Good luck
Tymestream
I forgot about that. Two additional questions though, does this completely remove the app and what if the make uninstall is not an option as it isn't in all programs? (Though it should be)
devries
As far as I know yes. If it doesn't work you'll have to do it manually. Hunt you computer for xmms files and delete them. Not something you would want to do on a friday night.
Tymestream
Certainly not! But the make uninstall worked so I am happy now.
