coverup Posted September 1, 2004 Report Share Posted September 1, 2004 Do you mean, flash usb drive? I got one this morning, had no problems with it in MDK 9.2. By the way, the manufacturer supports linux. You might want to try this... Stick it in before you power on the box. Watch the startup messages (you may need to hit Esc to see them). At some stage, you will be prompted to run a configuration tool for a new device sda, say Ok, then scroll down to USB drive, and confirm that you want to run the configuration tool. This should add a config line to the /etc/fstab file for your usb drive. From now on, your box will automount your USB drive each and every time you stick it in. Guest no0tic Posted September 9, 2004 Report Share Posted September 9, 2004 Do you have ACPI enabled? If so, you must put pci=noacpi in lilo.conf entry of your mdk in the "append" line.
