Guest drunken-wallaby Posted August 26, 2004 Report Share Posted August 26, 2004 hi there, i have the following problem and i'm kind of running out of ideas what to try next. i downloaded the 3 isos of the mandrake 10 official edition, burnt them and did a clean install, without any problems. at the final step before rebooting mandrake said it recognised my geforce fx 5500 as geforce 4 generic, which is a bit stange but well. anyway, when i try to start mandrake, everything works fine until the last step, x is not started, i just get a black screen, nothing more. anybody who has a solution to this? thanks a lot in advance....
