MadKAT
Hello. I'm thinking about getting a Toshiba Satellite A75-S226 notebook and installing Mandrake on it. My only concern is the DVD SuperMulti Drive. Would Mandrake be able to use all its functions (i.e., as CD, CD-R, DVD, DVD-+R) ? Does anyone here have the same or similar hardware? I've looked through the linux-laptop sites and I couldn't find information about getting functions for multidrives. I'd appreciate it if anyone has more info about this, and so I could make a more informed purchase. Thanks! DragonMage
As you can see in my sig, I have an older version of a Toshiba laptop. That laptop have a DVD-RW in it (- only, no + or DVDRAM). I have burned a few DVD with it, but it seems that the hardware is a bit flaky. Always got bad burn whenever things got too hot. Software wise though, dvd burning seems ok.
