PMo6022
First of all, I am a Linux noobie, so go easy! I am running MandrakeLinux 10.0CE, and I've managed to install mplayer version 1.0-0.pre3.13, using a mdk rpm. I would like to use the GUI, gmplayer, but it is not working. If I type "gmplayer" into Konsole, I get "command not found". I understand that if you compile mplayer yourself you have to enable the GUI, but what should I do since I installed via RPM? I believe I have all necessary components installed for the GUI, including GTK, a skin, fonts, etc. Please let me know if you need more information from me. Thanks for any help you can offer! spiedra
You need to install mplayer-gui. From a console, su to root, then type: urpmi mplayer-gui Edited August 18, 2004 by spiedra
PMo6022
Thanks, that did it. I figured it was something like that, and I'd tried urpmi gmplayer with no luck. Thanks again!
