Repairing 9.2

Hello,

I have messed up my X server by installing DRI drivers. Since it doesn't work, you would like to repair it by using the installation CDROMs.

Is it possible to repair or install over the same partition without formatting everything? So I won't loose my stuff...

Thanks.

When you start up, do you get to a command line login? If so, this can be an easy fix. Login and su to root (or login as root fot now) and type XFdrake (case sensitive) and set up your X server again (video card and monitor for sure). Then logout, log in as your normal user and type 'startx' (no quotes) and everything should work.
