Guest JGunter007
Ok I am new to linux, I decided to get rid of Windows and install Mandrake on my SERVER. I have a folder configured to share but NONE of the Windows computers will see the server. I am running Windows 2000 Professional on the computers i want to connect to the server. The server specs out 500 MHZ CPU 256 MB RAM 2 40 GB HDs Dual boot Windows 2000 pro and Mandrake Linux 10.0 Official. Any help will be greatly needed! Thanks! SoulSe
How did you share the folder? Using Samba? What are your Samba settings? Can the machines ping each other? Have you tried to browse directly to the share?
ac_dispatcher
Sometimes my XP Pro box doesnt see my Gentoo box. Try this: Open Windiows Explorer Right click My Network Places > Select Search for Computers Type the name of your Linux Box. Also Are they both on the same domain? May not matter but have you checked? Check your /etc/samba/smb.conf
