t_101
I have just installed kb3 cd burner and when I go to archives to start running it, it will freeze my entire computer. Any ideas would be helpful guys. You have helped well in the past I know you can now. Thanks. -t_101
SoulSe
Have you run the K3B setup? Have yout tried running it as root? Do you get any messages before it freezes? Have you tried any other burning programs?
devries
Is k3b freezing your computer or does the cd-burning freeze your computer? You can kill programs just by clicking on it. Press ctrl-alt-esc and your mousepointer changes into a skull. Click k3b and it will die. Your computer should be ok after that. If you have problems during the cd burning turn of hdparm for your burner (as root 'hdparm -d0 /dev/hdX where x is your cdburner). Your computer will most likely never really freeze. With alt-sys rq-r, alt-sys rq-s, ... e.....i,u,b. it's almost always possible to recover the pc.
