Sherpa
i get several failures at startup. one is at "Mounting all file syetems" if fails, but it says that there are too many filesystems and that may be because i have so many harddrives, next is "eth0" it fails, but it does work once mandrake is up and running b/c i can get on the internet, and last is "dm" isnt this the display manager?, well i dont know why this fails either but it does, if it means display manager, i do boot up to a GUI and X works, so... is there any way to fix it? or should i just leave well enough alone
bvc
so all the filesystems mount? Are there fs's not in fstab? Sounds like bad/buggy scripts is all.....if everything is working. The updates usuall fix these bootup errors which are not really actual errors.
Sherpa
i have never actually looked at the fstab file before, where is it? i would like to check it out... ya, i have no problems running mandrake none of those problems seem to manifest themselves when i get to gui mode. As far as i know i am up to date with all the updates, what is "dm" by the way....
