Guest williecaolho Posted June 20, 2004 Report Share Posted June 20, 2004 Hei, folks... I recently installed mandrake 10. in my toshiba satellite A10 S129 notebook. I choosed some packages, configured everything during the installationg problems, but i cant get my internet connection to work. Im using a lan connection, with static IP, i have all the configuration (IP, gateway, DNS servers, etc.) that work on Window$ XP. I've try to set up an internet connection with cable and lan option in the configuration menu. i criated a connection...but when i try to connect, i keep getting a message "trying to connect" or something, then it fails...and i dont get any further messages... wrenhunt Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 What types of networking related messages are you seeing in /var/log/messages? Are you successfully getting a DHCP lease?
