bcre8iv
Hi all. I noticed, when playing with the settings of Linux, that it had some generic monitor selected, so I decided to change it to the one that I have. However, I happened to select the wrong one. The one that I selected is a 74MHz monitor, while the one I have is a 75MHz monitor. Of course, now when Linux boots I can't see anything, but I can get to the CLI, which I can see. My question: Is there a way to change this setting if you aren't in the GUI? If so, how? Thanks, Eric moved to hardware - tyme Edited June 16, 2004 by tyme
tyme
XFdrake is probably what you're looking for. You'll need to run it as root. your other alternative is to edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 by hand using a command line text editer such as vi or nano. I suggest trying XFdrake first ;) if that doesn't work we'll go the get-your-hands-dirty way.
