Changing monitor settings

Hi all.

I noticed, when playing with the settings of Linux, that it had some generic monitor selected, so I decided to change it to the one that I have. However, I happened to select the wrong one. The one that I selected is a 74MHz monitor, while the one I have is a 75MHz monitor. Of course, now when Linux boots I can't see anything, but I can get to the CLI, which I can see. My question: Is there a way to change this setting if you aren't in the GUI? If so, how?

Thanks,

Eric

XFdrake is probably what you're looking for. You'll need to run it as root.

your other alternative is to edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 by hand using a command line text editer such as vi or nano. I suggest trying XFdrake first ;) if that doesn't work we'll go the get-your-hands-dirty way.
