Guest mark280470
Hi, My new Mandrake 10 Official DVD will not boot in two out of three of my PCs. The third boots it fine and so do VMWare virtual machines. The other two PCs (the ones I really want to use it on) wont boot the DVD to install Mandrake. They just ignore it as though there's not a bootable disk in the drive. If I use Nero to burn a bootable DVDR then that will boot on these PCs fine. It's only the Mandrake DVD they have a problem with! Any ideas?
Guest tac
hm, i believe, its up to your DVD-Burner. I had have the same problem. I tested the dvd in other dvd-rom, and there it is booting. Workaround: burn a install cdrom(cdrw) and switch the medium while the boot-kernel starts.
thatguy
Are you sure you burned it as an ISO?
