Guest ayn
Can anybody help? I am running 10CE, and just bought OE on 4 CDs from a company that has a copying and burning service (so not the official boxed version). I decided to try to verify the packages with rpm --checksig, but the security key on the CDs is different to the one on the Mandrake official mirrors. On the mirror, there are three RPM folders, and three 'pubkey' files; on the CDs, there are 4 pubkeys, one for each CD I guess. Is there an independent source from which I can get the appropriate keys to check my CDs, or is it not even necessary? I'm new to Linux, so am not really sure what the best thing to do is. If it helps, this is the first of the four pubkeys: -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) mQGiBDyPdo8RBACiej+yqIVK2XRbMsKIyWt4bN0rh87fP+6Bcpp0wANswh2ZBrJT NBLW1zYAqHP+NPtAqFwChc4QsJLbG2SekHBq+p1CvraRBTvirvRpoNtz35fAIQFb RxFbkarKdWiSmMeFNsFrQtGQguyP7Ja92JbLKBJ3qVEmeFZCYaRTgnOn8wCgvCrq fIqBPS6oeQ28lc/HWAIVI0sEAIrfcLQFgR2utKvnGtCDxKkgXwdvayITYqODxLFA feNVxC5tzvBFDke3wYMGZGwHl1qoF32CufNkBfWP0N34pxswyWvuPHGfg5+7BqYT EEn0WNz3ffO9FNc/sV7Qi43K2LIePV+5RqahPQnOFLCGMi2oNG5oUt4MoxUt5ZSR 4tYWA/9jXQKbfFkirNuGOmKNH5gm+Jo/jG3vSgC/lJa2fm1iGbYdUuQIg3jRCs+Z pq/Ot+A8yRDgFVKW1KByeI9iHJdY0lpQOb0gev2TxtijjGD+xqk+gouvJQG8EjEt zfIhfz3FVftOD0BahWUTRlK5O0HRS64mZYKkecwdNZ+kA20bYLQqTWFuZHJha2Ug TGludXggPG1hbmRyYWtlQG1hbmRyYWtlc29mdC5jb20+iF8EExECABcFAjyPdo8F CwcKAwQDFQMCAxYCAQIXgAASCRDniYrgcHcf8wdlR1BHAAEBHzoAnjjei8XgKxck C0QLtfN52ihRGArOAJ9Uyuw9d9Kp5clfEpLTjKArQ6Ylp4hGBBARAgAGBQI8j5RC AAoJEJqo0NAiRYqYW9sAoLCeIkHima6e7Hk/35RlZXH81Tj0AJ4rNYxH+CA+xvKz 0GYxdckYrzRnlbkBDQQ8j3aSEAQA7RnxlqMXqw/3oGGZ4DD9I+f1Ze3RrJqjfskD xr4ujvh7E2pMRrukXz+xv6EdyKAf3LtV5m0yWHP53Or1ed1vWyrTnOOUIxcLJ3pn SyxTFEenCACz1wWyfyQEjl6Vt0kMkb+u3QgL6FFM/9h1H7HyDObzW9uTt7x9/xcB tzt204sAAwUEAIW3yrn7THVfk0+/CqSrpQo5H1gmYBMK3zulFnVcJCWT1XIzKMLs CtIlCnAQLYoHo711BezQ+bcABW+NtegxAq4IrJXcLy5twN4cexP+4DVosukuGMZf Vuy8i5XbYqZHgU7pWDU3aD3k9t4Q+HO8CujjGh8Ru3yLnSJ8OmjrWe/+iE4EGBEC AAYFAjyPdpIAEgkQ54mK4HB3H/MHZUdQRwABASn2AJ9Q9yfIqlrgMBMRH98oMgW0 D9aFTACgsVwEcpIK3ENTYOehztKPGduZB4E= =za8J -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- Thanks, Amir
Guest anon
Welcome to the board. Ummm...its not really necessary unless you have a problem installing MDK or have security issues.
