Guest mfrnka Posted May 27, 2004 Report Share Posted May 27, 2004 (edited) I have an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe mother board with 1 gig of RAM. I am getting constant "Disabling IRQ #18" errors which causes system to run terribly slow and freeze so bad keystrokes aren't read properly. I've done some investigation and one partial solution seems to be setting the BIOS IDE mode to compatible/legacy vs. enhanced. However, it fouls up my hard drive device assignments and won't work for the other OS on my dual boot system. Any suggestions? Is this a known issue?
