Guest luka1
Hello… Well I have one problem… I have installed dual boot (Win XP and Mandrake 10.0) and I am using BootMagic as boot loader. When I make backup of my Mandrake partition with Norton Ghost and when I tried to restore it, I can’t boot Mandrake because BootMagic can’t find Lilo bootloader? And when I show to Boot Magic where is ext3 Mandrake partition still nothing happened? Somewhere I lose Mandrake Lilo loader!! And when I make upgrade of installation same problem stays!! How to solve this problem and if I can’t do it with Nghost is there any other software same like him to do it? Thanx
M.I.T
Boot the Mandrake CD1. Press F1 for more options type 'rescue' wait for rescue menu and select 'reinstall bootloader' and reboot

Cannonfodder
That's a NORTON GHOST issue. I suspect they do not support it or you are not making your ghost correctly. Try this if you want to explore :) www.partimage.org It's free and you can download an ISO to burn to a CD.

Ronin
Thats due to something on your part that your either not doing or not doing correctly. :) My dad does the exact setup as you with the exception of using BootMagic he goes with lilo. When he messes one or the other up trying out things he just takes his cd's out and reghosts the whole box. It boots up fine and he can choose either OS. Have you tried not using a 3rd party bootloader and using one of the native linux ones then ghosting the box and seeing what happens? Cannonfodder
Hi...i just download partimage but i coudn't find ISO to download ?! do you have some link better to use it? thanx a lot... Scroll to the bottom of the page. There are 4 projects that deal with burning a CD that contains partimage. I have so far used the top one (System Rescue CD).. :)
