neocytrix Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 Hello everyone, I am starting to use SLAX, based off of SLACKWARE linux, its different from Mandrake, which im used to. lol I need to know how to switch to the floppy drive in the terminal in SLAX. tyme Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 cd /mnt/floppy although it may be /mnt/[somethingelse] before that, though, you may need to mount it with: mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy which you'll probably have to be root to do. Qchem Posted May 11, 2004 Report Share Posted May 11, 2004 You probably need to create a /mnt/floppy The easiest way I've found for using floppies is mtools - check out the package if you can find it.
