fangbite
I've had no trouble using evolution to this date and the reason to why there is trouble is beyond me at this moment. One day i boot into mandrake 10 and start evolution mail. For some reason evolution won't let me send/recieve mail. The button isn't active. So i go to Kmail trying to understand the problem. Kmail stated my password was invalid for the server. After checking to see if my password was correct i reinput it into kmail and I was able to get my email. However this didn't work with evolution. I first purged all old passwords (no noticable effect) then i erased my account and remade it. Evolution still won't let me send/recieve mail as if some setting i have won't let it try. Can anyone help me on this?
WilliamS
No, I can't help. I have similar problem, can't send mail from Evolution or other two email clients. Can receive, though. http://www.mandrakeusers.org/index.php?sho...topic=13955&hl= Ideas, anyone?
fangbite
I found out what happened with evolution on my end. Somehow it was told to work offline and when i clicked an offline/online button on the bottem left corner it worked again. Dunno how that happened..... WilliamS
That wasn't my problem - just sent another email test message to myself, and it's working. I hate mysteries like this.
