kmc77
First, I need to give myself a pat on the back. Just completed a successfull transition to MDK 10.0 CE. Wo hoo. :D Now, I'm looking at one of my gdesklets that says I still have 2.4 kernel installed. I know this isn't right (probably need to reinstall that desklet) I should know this but I don't. Just to give me a little peace of mind, what is the command to check kernel version?
liquidzoo
uname -s will give you the kernel name, but the one you're looking for is uname -r, which will give you the kernel version.
SoulSe
...and the desklet is getting that info from proc afaik, so it probably isn't wrong...
kmc77
Thanks, I verified - command gave me 2.6.3 kernel. Interestingly enough, I didn't do anything to the desklet and now it's showing the correct kernel.. Oh well, problem fixed. Thanks guys.
