Lord Kenneth
Apparently, there's some sort of weird USB thing added to it that kills my wireless USB card and external USB HDD. They work in 2.6.3-7. So, I can't use the internet on 2.6.3-9 Of course, I already downloaded the 2.6.3-9mdk source so my nvidia module only works for that. liquidzoo
Not sure about the new kernel, but thanks for the heads up. If you still have the lilo option to boot into the older kernel, you can re-do the nvidia driver for that kernel and it will work just fine there. There's a post somewhere about making the nvidia driver work in more than one kernel at the same time. I'll have to see if I can find it. Lord Kenneth
It still gives me the "Unable to determine NVIDIA kernel module filename" error...
dido161
The installer needs to see the same version of the kernel sources as the running kernel. Make sure the "linux" link in /usr/src points to the right kernel sources. If the installer keeps saying "Unable to determine NVIDIA kernel module filename" error after that, run it with " --add-this-kernel" option. It will create a NVIDIA-xxxxx-custom installer in the dir you have run it from. Run this custom intsaller and it all should work great..:)
Lord Kenneth
It's not. It hates me.
Lord Kenneth
It appears I compiled my kernel with an option I wasn't supposed to compile with it. Rendering manager or something. It works swell now. I think my USB even works.
