dent_moosely
Being new to Linux I would like to now how or what is the best way to uninstall RTCET. I need to remove it from my system since I kind of trashed it playing around. It didn't have an "uninstall" so I do not know if I can just delete the directory or what else I should be looking for or what terminal commands to use. Any help would be great... r. iphitus
I dont think tehre is an uninstall script for ET. I just deleted the symlinks in /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin depending where you installed, and I then deleted the ET directory
!nkubus
that's a trouble now that games have their own installer we cannot uninstall them correctly :( it should be fixed, like add thoses file to the rpm database or the deb database or wathever. iphitus
ITs not that bad. Most games have their own directory, all you need to do is delete it. /usr/local/games/enemy-territory is the usual culprit for ET
dent_moosely
Thanks... I ran the "slocate" command and found the offending files (in about three locations...) and deleted them. An uninstall would have been nice though...
