Lost_In_JavaScript_Land
I just downloaded Mandrake 9.1 for PPC, managed to get the install fired up on my oldworld Apple Workgroup Server 9650/350. It has a JackHammer (qlogic ISP1040) SCSI card in it. When I go to setup Mandrake on my hard drive (which is on that controller), it says it can't find the module. I attempted copying the module from the kernel rpm on the CD, and tried installing it during setup, but it gives an error of not being able to read the ELF header. I find it kinda funny that the good people at Mandrake forgot to include this module. I'm a big fan of Mandrake for x86, and kinda would have liked to run it on my PPC. Anyone have any suggestions? Lost_In_JavaScript_Land
Well, I got part of the situation fixed....I got the module to copy over, but it gives an error about a bunch of things related to PCI. I also have a second JackHammer card from a Mac that I was attempting to use in my x86 machine. It gets detected, but doesn't load the driver. Any suggestions?
