DOlson
What version of Mandrake are you using? And did you install it using the latest Loki installer? There is a more recent one than what comes on the CD. And did you change the default options when you were installing? And what user are you trying to run it as? Please don't say root... Guest ironmc
I am using Mandrake 9.0. I installed it with just what came on the CD. I always everything as user. I did a search and could find no "heretic2" file, thus explaining the "comand not found". Where can I find the latest Loki installer, since they are out of business? Thanks for the help
DOlson
ftp.lokigames.com Just because they are out of business doesn't mean that you can't still get the updates. :)
Guest tezca
For anyone interested I had the same prob with heretic2 but know it runs great heres the solution! the cd was rushed!!!!!!!!! the "heretic2" command file is in the wrong folder! hence the installations error "cannot find file "bin/x86/heretic2" the fix? the file is in the another x86 folder in the glibc folder inside the bin folder! so...... copy the whole cd to any dir /tmp/mytmpdir would be good go inside the bin directory " inside the dir you just made & cp the cd to. mkdir x86 chmod 775 find the file "heretic2"in the specified directory copy it to bin/x86 cp it to bin/x86 cd back to tmp/mytmpdir sh setup.sh and it'll work ..... unless you have a bad video card

Heretic II was not rushed. The installer breaks on newer distributions! Myth II: Soulblighter does the same thing.
