What is your computer?

 

Is it by any chance an Acer?

 

As for Centrino Wireless, its semi supported

 

ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net

ipw2100.sourceforge.net

 

And could you also give us the output of 'lspci -v' it would help heaps!

 

If you need to use the dial up modem do this:

Only do it if you want to use the dial up modem.

You look like you have a winmodem of sorts, could you please run the scanmodem utility available here: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/#scanmodem

Download it,

then:

gunzip scanModem.gz

sh scanModem

And post us the contents of the files: Modemdata.txt and ModemData.txt.2 here
