hi ... sorry for english, i'm french

i'm a newbie ... but i have double boot since mdk 6.2 ...

with mdk 10, i wanted to totally switch ...

i already spend a lot of time to configure programs and desktop

but now, i've spend more thant 9 hours to make my "ati remote" work with "mdk10"

and it want not !!!

in mdk10, when i do a lsmod, i see a "lirc_atiusb" ...

but the lirc version is 0.6.6 (?!?!)... and it doesn't support usb device ...

so i've downloader the cvs (0.7.x) and try to compile, "make install" ... but with "mode2" : i can't see if everythings works ... "mode2" refuse to connect to /dev/lirc

it's to complex for me to understand all theses things ...

so, i've tested "ati_remote" from gatos.sf.net ... which seems easier

the mdk rpm is an old one (again !!!) ... it's for kernel 2.4.x

so i've downloaded the cvs (for 2.6.3)... and build a "ati_remote26.ko" ...

i've done a insmod ... good ... i've tried to xmodmap some things ...

but nothing works ...

is there, somewhere, a simple rpm which will setup easily the things ?!? (without needs to compile, to patch ?!)

where am i wrong ?!
