Lennart
Not noo to Linux but still very much a noob (some incompatibility problems). Installed Mandrake 10 RC. First surprise was that I was able 2 install it 2nd that it sort of stuck there and still works. Now I would like to see what 10C looks like. Question is how do I get from RC to C??? I'ld like to do the upgrade; I guess that would be the simplest. Any help, advice, suggestions, tips, tricks and secrets of the trade will be highly appreciated. tyme
IMHO, your best bet is to download the 10C cd's and do a fresh install. DO NOT choose the upgrade option, despite the fact that it should work and everything else it simply -does not always work- (i haven't had issues, but apparently i'm lucky). when you installed, do you make a seperate partition for /home? if so, don't format that partition, but format the rest.
