linux_jester
Is it possible to reinstall an rpm using urpmi without having to uninstall it first using urpme, if so how do you do it? Thanks
aru
You don't need to use a machinegun to kill a fly. For what you want to do just run plain rpm: ~# rpm -Uvh --force the_rpm_package.version.rpm If you have any doubts check 'man rpm' and 'man urpmi'
Steve Scrimpshire
--force just seems so mean to me. How about: rpm -ivh --replacefiles --replacepkgs the_rpm_package.version.rpm Much nicer (and if there are some dependencies it is missing, it iwll warn you, whereas --force won't). :P
