polemicz
A problem came up on my son's Suse 9.0 system: he was unable to start KDE because of permission problems with .ICEauthority. Attempts to fix this have been unsuccessful. Attempts as root, even at run level 1, run into an inability of even root to access this and a few other files in his home directory. System is ok and other users can login and run without a problem. So why can't root even get at these files? I know I can create a new user and move the other data files, but I'd rather figure out how to fix this. Thanks.
