tyme
I just found this program and the idea is great! Basically, you load in all your mp3's/ogg's/flac's, it analyzes them aucostically and then you pick any song and click "New Mix" and it supposedly will select songs that are aucostically similar (making it pretty good at selecting music for a specific mood). Website: http://music.predixis.com Beta Linux Download: http://music.predixis.com/2_download_linux.html the beta will only work for 14 days (it says), but give it a try. You can pay a yearly fee of about $10 or buy it right out fr $30. I wouldn't suggest that just yet, but try it out and send them some bug reports! The beta is only a month old, so be nice :) One thing I noticed: don't load a large number of songs at once, it crashed on me when I tried to lad my entire mp3 directory so I've been doing it by group. SoulSe
This reminds me of the mood plugin for Winamp, which was pretty sweet. Too bad this service comes with a price tag... might be worth it anyway, it's very reasonable. Nice one, selekta tyme!
